Common questions
My trainer will not connect.
Close any other app that uses the trainer. Some trainers, including the Van Rysel D100, accept only one Bluetooth connection at a time. Then wake the trainer by pedalling a few strokes and choose Search for Devices under Bluetooth Devices.
Hammy says Bluetooth is off.
Riding needs Bluetooth to control your trainer. Allow Bluetooth for Hammy in the iPhone Settings app. You can still browse and edit workouts without it.
I cannot start a ride.
Workout targets scale from your FTP, so Hammy asks for it first. Enter it in Settings, or take the built-in ramp test and accept the FTP it suggests. Then pair a trainer from Bluetooth Devices.
The workout clock has not started.
With a trainer, the clock starts when Hammy sees the first power above 0 W. Start pedalling. Heart rate alone does not start it.
Cadence shows No reading.
Some trainers, including the D100, do not broadcast cadence. No reading is a normal result. Hammy never fills it in with an estimate.
Hammy closed during a ride.
Everything recorded up to that point was already saved. When you open Hammy again it offers to save the ride or discard it. The workout cannot be resumed.
NP, IF or TSS shows as unavailable.
Hammy shows them only when power was recorded for at least 95% of the ride, and the ride lasted at least a minute. Otherwise it says why they are unavailable instead of guessing.
Does deleting a workout delete my rides?
No. Deleting a workout from My Workouts never changes rides you have already recorded, or their names in History.
Hammy is not on the App Store yet. See the Privacy Policy for what it stores.
